Tonight's homework:
- Read 20-30 minutes
- NO WORD STUDY
Today we started a few projects. Here's a quick rundown:
- Language Arts: We started work on our final triorama project (design/build a scene from the book). Students will be selecting their favorite book from 3rd grade - a book they read in class, a book they read in the library or at home, or even a book that was used for read aloud. We will be writing about and presenting these projects sometime next week.
- Writing: We brainstormed and planned steps for our "How to..." books. Each student is an expert on something (e.g., ride a dirt bike, throw a football, make a necklace, catch a crawfish, etc.). We will be writing detailed steps for each task working on using transition words like "first, next, then, after that, finally". Students will also be taking photographs (in class or at home - expect a note explaining this tomorrow) as illustrations for their books.
SS/Math: Coming soon!
We also studied "plastic" (pros/cons, how it's made, what it's used for, etc.) and learned about family origins (thanks Carter!).
Have fun!
- Mr. B
