- Maps & Globes Study Guide*
     *We will have a test on Tuesday of next week.  It might be a good idea to quiz your child on the continents and oceans this week.  Tomorrow we will be covering more of the map skills (legend, coordinates, etc.).

Hello class!

Welcome to our blog for the 2011-2012 school year.

My name is Mr. Balnave and I am charged with teaching the students located in room 303 at Brownsville Elementary School.  My hope is that this blog will be a useful tool for students, parents and friends of our class.  I will be posting homework assignments and sharing some of the fun projects we do here in 3rd grade.

Field Day + Homework

Thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped make today's Field Day a success!  We had lots of water games and fun activities this afternoon and it looked like everyone went home tired and content after a fun day in the sun.

Tonight's homework:
- Read 20-30 minutes with a good book
- Look for (and bring in) any books that belong to the school (library books, etc.)
- Take pictures for your "How to..." book
